The international Breast Cancer in Young Women (BCYW) Foundation YCBH initiative was launched to promote proactive breast health and raise awareness about breast cancer across educational and professional campuses globally.
Team Shan is the lead partnership organization in Canada. Team Shan Youth Council for Breast Health chapters were established in 2025. Queen’s University School of Medicine, Kingston, ON was the first Canadian campus chapter, followed by: Memorial University, St. John’s, NL; University of Calgary, Calgary, AB; Concordia University, Montreal, QC; and Western University, London, ON.
