Lorna will be presenting on young adult palliative care issues, recommendations and strategies at the annual Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Conference in Kanata, ON on September 21st and the International Psycho-Oncology Society/Canadian Association of Psychosocial Oncology World Congress of Psycho-Oncology in Banff, AB on Wednesday, September 25th!! Lorna is honoured to have been selected for a family advocate scholarship for attending the international conference in Banff!
The 10th anniversary Fore for Shan golf tournament is scheduled for August 10th at the Meadows in Woodstock!! Heart FM 104.7 FM has been promoting the event and Lorna was featured on the morning show with Sabrina and Dan along with a news spot with Chris 🙂

The 14th Knock Cancer Out of the Park ball tournament in Temiskaming Shores was a huge success with 36 teams, wonderful community support and great weather. Lorna was interviewed by the Temiskaming Speaker regarding the tournament 🙂

Lorna visited Norfolk County to present Team Shan messaging to students at Delhi District Secondary School.
Team Shan will be on campus Jan 10-13, 2018 at SAIT Polytechnic in Calgary, Alberta. Team Shan will be participating in the annual SAITSA Wellness Fair on the 10th, presenting to student athletes on the 11th and supporting the SAIT Trojans home games on the 12th and 13th 🙂 Go Trojans go!! #wearetrojans
Lorna had the opportunity to present to first year Health Sciences students at Western University in London, ON on November 16th. The Personal Determinants of Health presentation featured awareness and knowledge transfer of breast and testicular cancer in young adults!
